1. Introduction
Welcome to Jobtrac. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Jobtrac, including our website, application, and all associated services (collectively, the “Service”). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By accessing or using Jobtrac, you confirm that you are at least 16 years of age, that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and that you have read and agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or otherwise accessing the Service, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or via a prominent notice in the app.
3. User Accounts
To access most features of Jobtrac, you must create an account. You may sign up using an email address and password, or via Google OAuth. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and up to date
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe have been compromised.
4. Use of the Service
Jobtrac is a job search management tool designed to help individuals track applications, generate tailored documents, and manage their job pipeline. You agree to use the Service only for its intended, lawful purposes.
Features powered by OpenAI (cover letter and résumé generation) are provided as-is. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting it to prospective employers. Jobtrac does not guarantee the accuracy or fitness of any AI-generated output for a particular purpose.
5. Subscription and Payments
Jobtrac currently offers a free tier with access to core job-tracking features. Premium features, if introduced, will be clearly communicated with associated pricing.
- Billing: If you subscribe to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.
- Cancellation: You may cancel a paid plan at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds: Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis. Contact us within 7 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, design, code, trademarks, and other materials in Jobtrac are the intellectual property of Jobtrac or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of all data and content you upload or create within the Service (“User Content”). By using Jobtrac, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process your User Content solely to provide the Service to you.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our express written permission.
7. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service in bulk
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or other harmful content
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity
- Use AI-generated outputs to deceive or defraud employers or third parties
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Jobtrac and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Jobtrac in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) $50 USD.
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, subject to any legal retention obligations.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page. The “Last updated” date at the top of this document reflects when changes were last made. Where changes are material, we will provide at least 14 days' notice via email before they take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
